Goodyear is encouraging students to submit original artwork for the sixth annual Mayor Select Art Show.

The purpose of this show is to “advance education, create public dialogue and inspire civic pride through the arts.”

Applicants must be Goodyear residents who are between grades six and 12 and currently enrolled in a “public, private, charter or alternative school.” The application deadline is March 20. On April 7, all winners will be recognized at the Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival.

Winners will also receive a total of $1,700 in scholarships, which are sponsored by the Palm Valley Pediatric Dentistry, the Goodyear Arts & Culture Commission, and the City of Goodyear.
