Telehealth services make behavioral health services available anytime and anywhere. | File photo

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that 69 million American workers miss work due to illnesses every year. This is one key reason why telehealth became available to provide easier access for care rather than delaying treatment to see conditions worsen.

To support improving Arizonans’ overall quality of life by providing optimal access to health care, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) has expanded its telehealth offerings. This will help Copper State residents have more options when it comes to getting health care.

BCBSAZ’s BlueCare Anywhere helps connect individuals with various medical personnel via technological means such as phones or computers. With telehealth services such as BlueCare Anywhere, getting medical appointments is not a burden anymore, and health care workers can address health issues sans delays. In addition, health concerns that can be solved via telehealth physician visits can help save time and money spent on trips to the doctor, health clinic or even hospital.

Telehealth also makes behavioral health services available anytime and anywhere.
