The city of Flagstaff is officially under Stage 2 fire restrictions

That means there will be no permits issued for open burning, including open fire pits and open flame devices, within the city.

The use of charcoal barbecue grills also is strictly prohibited at all city parks and private residences, including Thorpe Park, McMillan Mesa Park, McPherson Park, Buffalo Park, Observatory Mesa, Picture Canyon Natural Area and private campgrounds.

Smoking is not allowed at all city parks, including disc golf courses, and on the Flagstaff Urban Trail System or in the Picture Canyon Natural Area.

Portable gas stoves with an on/off switch can be used in city parks and private campgrounds, but portable propane fire-ring type devices are banned.

Lastly, the sale and use of consumer-grade fireworks within the city is not allowed.
