About 52.8 percent of the 4,258 degrees and certificates handed out by the Glendale Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Glendale conferred 1129 associate's degrees and 1117 certificates in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 1117 certificates in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 1035 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies and 305 certificates in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic).

The college enrolled 19,000 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
