Graduates earn 1,415 degrees, certificates from GateWay Community College


About 54.1 percent of the 1,415 degrees and certificates handed out by the GateWay Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Phoenix conferred 415 associate's degrees and 351 certificates in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 221 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 155 certificates in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training and 140 certificates in Art/Art Studies, General.

The college enrolled 5,058 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
