Vantage West Credit Union, southern Arizona’s largest credit union, has announced the winners of its Thrive Tucson Business Spotlight contest via a “yellow carpet” event at the Roadhouse Cinemas.

The contest aims to support Local First Arizona and its mission to encourage people to buy and bank locally.

The winners of the Business Spotlight contest are Rialto Theatre Foundation, QMULATIVE, and Borderlands Brewing Co. The winners will be featured on a social media community segment on Thrive Tucson, which is sponsored by the Vantage West.

The Rialto Theatre Foundation aims to preserve Rialto Theatre as a landmark Tucson concert venue. It opened in 1920, but was scheduled for demolition in 1986. However, its advocates prevented its demolition by forming the foundation. Since then, the Rialto has continued to serve various events, with more than 250 events and 100,000 patrons flocked into the theatre.

The Borderlands Brewing Co. aims to make great beer and make a difference for the community. The company is partnered with several nonprofit organizations to raise funds.

QMULATIVE, a lifestyle apparel brand founded by a local entrepreneur, aims to bridge the gap between amateur and professional talent. QMULATIVE has become a business mentor for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, as well as conducting on-the-spot sewing at markets.

The three winners were chosen among 41 nominees, each with compelling stories of how they give back to the community.
