Amy Bruske, the principal and president of Kolbe Corp., recently hosted a talk organized by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.

Bruske, who specializes in HR consulting and leadership development, is one of only three senior master consultants of the Kolbe Concept. During the talk, she explained how misguided beliefs about work can actually cause stress, as well as how to manage mental energy for optimal work performance.

“You can’t be a great leader if you’re not working on yourself, and your stress levels,” Bruske said. “Good advice gone bad is what happens when well-intentioned good advice doesn’t work for you.”

She provided a crash course in finding the attendees’ natural abilities and how these can be applied to work.
