The Arizona Governor's Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting has released an analysis that projects the state's school district and charter school funding for the FY 2019.

Estimates for the funding stem from increases in the base level formula for teacher pay, inflation, and the restoration of district and charter additional assistance.

"The enacted FY 2019 budget significantly increased funding for school districts and charter schools throughout the state," the office said in a statement. "While the majority of the funding is intended to increase teacher salaries, local governing boards ultimately have flexibility to allocate the new money as they see fit."

Also according to the office, the funding will be allocated on a "per-pupil basis" with estimates coming from mostly current enrollment levels.

"Exact funding amounts might vary based on increases or decreases in enrollment for the upcoming year," the office said.
