The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations through Aug. 15 for its annual Sterling Awards, which recognize people and organizations for their innovation and community stewardship.

Now in it their 33rd year, the annual Sterling Awards consists of four categories: Micro Business (one to five employees), Small Business (six to 99 employees), Big Business (100-plus employees), and nonprofits.

According to the Scottsdale Area Chamber, award winners are selected by a team of judges and the awards ceremony includes a video presentation of each of the 12 finalists. Nominees must be a member of the Scottsdale Area Chamber, but nominations may be made by non-Chamber members. Applications may be found online.
