Tucson Metro Chamber issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.

Matthew Gaspari has been promoted to Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer at Tucson Federal Credit Union (TFCU). Matthew began his employment at TFCU in 1992 as a Teller. After 26 years, he has held positions such as Loan Officer, Branch Manager, AVP, VP of Operations, and Chief Operating Officer before being named Executive Vice President. Matthew’s favorite accomplishment at TFCU is helping people grow into new credit union leaders. He has also been recognized for his role in developing a highly productive branch network where the focus is on the credit union members’ experience first and foremost. Matthew embraces innovation, leading such efforts as the introduction of Interactive Teller Machines in 2017 to offer a faster, more personalized drive-thru experience.

Stacey Wilkerson joined the Tucson Federal Credit Union (TFCU) team on September 24th, 2018 as the credit union’s Chief Financial Officer. Stacey comes from Dallas, Texas and is bringing expansive industry knowledge and experience with her. She’s worked in the credit union industry for the past 13 years as a strategic partner to credit union management teams, offering solutions through measuring and managing risk, investment portfolio management, developing balance sheet strategies, loan pricing and profitability, and hedging and deposit strategies. TFCU is thrilled to capitalize on her area of expertise and is looking forward having a CFO in place with a proven work ethic, evident from her vocational accomplishments and as a 5-time marathon runner.

TFCU was founded in 1937 as Tucson Teachers Federal Credit Union. TFCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Pima County. Today, TFCU has grown to more than 61,000 members and seven locations in Tucson, Marana, and Sahuarita. Their growth and success comes from those members who use their services, a dedicated group of volunteers who are elected by their members to represent them, and a great staff who are committed to creating an exceptional experience.
