Pima County issued the following announcement on Oct. 31.

The Pima County One-Stop will be recruiting job seekers for a host of industries at a job fair set for Wednesday, Nov. 7, 9 a.m.-noon, at the Kino Sports Complex Events Center (formerly the Mulcahy YMCA), 2805 E. Ajo Way.

All job seekers are welcome, though the first hour of the fair will give priority to veterans, active military, transitioning military, their spouses and dependents.

More than 50 employers will be participating in the fair, showcasing job opportunities requiring various skill sets in industries such as retail, administration, temporary agencies, customer service, sales, hospitality, and county and city government.

Job seekers should come with plenty of resumes and dressed professionally. Workshops and opportunities to explore careers are available for those visiting any ARIZONA@WORK and Pima County One-Stop Career Center.

The Kino Veterans’ Workforce Center, part of Pima County’s Community Services, Employment and Training Department, offers career counseling and job search assistance; help with resumes, interview and phone techniques; skill and aptitude assessments; computer labs and office equipment; behavioral health services and recovery; occupational skills training; adult education, tutoring and study skills; benefits counseling and claims assistance – education, medical care, disability; assistance with housing and other basic needs during transition to employment; and business recruitment and workforce training assistance.

Veterans may also attend monthly networking and job club events at the Kino Veterans’ Workforce Center, 2801 E. Ajo Way. They can speak directly with employers and hiring managers, learn about career and job opportunities and apply for open positions.
