Tucson Metro Chamber issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.

Vantage West Credit Union, southern Arizona’s largest credit union, announced today the promotion of Mercedes Eppley to Business Banker. She is among the recent addition to the credit union’s growing Business Banking team as it strives to serve the needs of local businesses.

In her new position as Business Banker, Mercedes is responsible for providing expert knowledge and advice to help business Members plan, start, and expand their business with customized financing solutions. She is dedicated to help them achieve financial success by carefully assessing their business banking and lending needs, offering professional advice, and delivering the best commercial package to fit their unique situation.

Mercedes’ extensive background in customer service spans over eight years, with more than five years at Vantage West. Through the years, she excelled and moved her way up as Teller, Service Specialist, Financial Representative, and Sr. Financial Representative prior to moving up to her new position. She was recognized among one of two Vantage West Employees of the Quarter early this year for her outstanding performance.

Mercedes is a native Tucsonan whose skills are only paralleled by her affinity for service in the community, and her assistance to charitable organizations and non-profits. She has volunteered for various events in support of Candlelighters™ Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern Arizona, Junior Achievement, EMERGE, Ben’s Bells, and more.

“I am very excited about this new venture, and the opportunity to strengthen and build new relationships with local businesses and other organizations that make our community great,” Mercedes said.
