Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.

Palm Gate has signed on with Charity Storage to receive charitable donations. Auction proceeds benefit 3 non profit organizations.

We all have those perfectly good items we don't want to just get rid of. What if you could donate them and help support Non-Profit organizations.

How does it Work? Palm Gate Storage will accept new or gently used items in exchange for a

Donation receipt. All items are put in a secure Charity Storage unit at our facility.

The items are auctioned on line and and the proceeds are donated as follows.

60% to our local charity choice "Meals of Joy"

20% to Kure it Cancer Research

10% to Self Storage Scholarship Program
