City of Avondale recently issued the following announcement.

Monday, February 4, 2019 Mayor Kenneth Weise proclaimed February 17-23, 2019 as Engineers Week in Avondale.

Avondale’s professional team of Engineers hold major responsibilities in the areas of public safety, health, welfare, the environment, transportation, structures, water, power, and communications, as well as mechanical, electrical and electronic devices that are important to our everyday life.  Our City Engineers have made significant contributions to Avondale throughout our history and are responsible through their creativity and expertise for technological achievements that have improved the quality of our lives and helped us compete in an increasingly complex world.
