1.3 percent of University of Arizona students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 1.3 percentage of University of Arizona students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

University of Arizona has 34,101 undergraduate students, of which 52 percent are women and 48 percent are men, and a total student body of 43,751 students. Of these students, 295 men and 264 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at University of Arizona with the most participants are all track combined (175), football (113) and swimming and diving (60).
