Graduates earn 1,277 degrees, certificates from Central Arizona College


About 46.9 percent of the 1,277 degrees and certificates handed out by Central Arizona College in 2017-18 were to students in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Coolidge conferred 319 certificates and 280 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies. Data shows the school gave out 319 certificates in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies, followed by 255 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies and 66 certificates in heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration maintenance technology/technician.

The college enrolled 5,405 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
