Graduates earn 21,828 degrees, certificates from Grand Canyon University


About 38.9 percent of the 21,828 degrees and certificates handed out by Grand Canyon University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Phoenix conferred 5136 bachelor's degrees and 3104 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 4581 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 1491 master's degrees in general business administration and management and 1081 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 83,284 students for 2017-18, including 49,556 in undergraduate programs and 33,728 in graduate programs.
