Graduates earn 4,427 degrees, certificates from Mesa Community College


About 28.6 percent of the 4,427 degrees and certificates handed out by Mesa Community College in 2017-18 were to students in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Mesa conferred 1264 associate's degrees and 1 certificates in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in general art/art studies. Data shows the school gave out 1154 certificates in general art/art studies, followed by 1089 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies and 205 certificates in natural sciences.

The college enrolled 20,424 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
