Graduates earn 1,249 degrees, certificates from Arizona State University-Polytechnic


About 34.4 percent of the 1,249 degrees and certificates handed out by Arizona State University-Polytechnic in 2017-18 were to students in engineering programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Mesa conferred 254 bachelor's degrees and 176 master's degrees in engineering programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general engineering. Data shows the school gave out 160 bachelor's degrees in general engineering, followed by 136 bachelor's degrees in "other" business, management, marketing, and related support services and 116 master's degrees in computer software engineering.

The university enrolled 4,809 students for 2017-18, including 4,239 in undergraduate programs and 570 in graduate programs.
