The Sonoran Desert Institute enrolls 1,755 undergrads


At the Sonoran Desert Institute, 93 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 99 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private for-profit institution in Scottsdale enrolled 1,755 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 7.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

6 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arizona, and 91 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (79 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (8 percent).
