83 percent of applicants to Northern Arizona University were admitted for fall 2018


At Northern Arizona University, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Flagstaff enrolled 31,066 students in fall 2018, including 27,072 in undergraduate and 3,994 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

64 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arizona, and 33 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (55 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (24 percent).

The school admitted 83 percent of the 36,831 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
