Pima Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce they are the recipients of the Mountain West Credit Union Association’s (MWCUA) Credit Union of the Year Award. This prestigious award recognizes a credit union for their innovation and outstanding achievements in the various areas of day-to-day operations, financial prowess, and member service. The MWCUA is a regional trade association representing 123 member credit unions throughout Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming.
2018 was a notable year for Pima Federal as they experienced the most financial success, membership growth, and efficiency improvements in their 68-year history. Their strong financial position empowered them to focus on an overall strategy to provide an industry-leading value proposition for members of the credit union. In addition to placing a concerted effort on building efficiencies and offering new and enhanced products, they maintained an unwavering commitment to the community.
Employees and board member representatives accepted the award on behalf of the credit union during the 2019 Star Gala in Denver, CO. The annual event honors outstanding credit unions and industry professionals for their dedication to the credit union movement and for making a difference in their communities.
