The Salt River Project (SRP) is helping businesses prepare for the summer power outage season by hosting a series of free, two-hour preparedness workshops this month.

SRP officials will discuss outage planning, employee safety during outages, emergency supplies to have on hand and review backup power sources. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

The workshops will run from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. May 10 at Mesa Convention Center; May 14 at Embassy Suites; and May 24 at Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel and Spa.
