Fortis Insurance Associates CEO Robin Gallagher recently provided insight on how becoming a partnering broker with Everlong Captive Health Insurance was the right decision for her clients, as well as her personally.

Gallagher revealed in an Everlong Edge Podcast that she chose to work with Everlong after researching many different captives and found it to be the most transparent.

“You’re gonna know where everything stands, you’re gonna have everything together and that was very important to me, transparency for my clients,” Gallagher said in the podcast. “It’s how I do business, it’s how I work with my partners and it was something super important to me and something that I felt really existed ... there are many other things I could say about Everlong and how they worked with me, really helped me to transition from another captive and how that process went down, but the number one thing that stood out to me was the transparency.”

Gallagher, a broker for more than 25 years, helps mid-sized companies “take a step forward and step outside the box” with regards to employee benefits.

Gallagher explained she struggled when deciding which insurance captive to go with for one of her client’s, Rebekah Barr, CEO of Atlanta-based IT and health care staffing company Allyon. “I spoke to multiple brokers, multiple clients, and the Everlong team really made it easy to do because they helped me in every aspect that you would think would be problematic,” Gallagher said. “They helped ease that pain.”

In addition to the company’s transparency, Gallagher suggested Barr’s company move to Everlong due to its different reporting. “You give us a lot more insight into the reporting aspects so that we can really drill down and make more effective changes,” Gallagher said. “When you’re making decisions, when you’re part of a capture, when I look at being part of a captive, you want to bring in groups that want to do the right things because you rely on each other, you collaborate with each other.”
