Adding to the approximately $8.5 million in donations that have gone to the Arizona Coronavirus Relief Fund, public utility company EPCOR USA recently donated $50,000, according to a press release from the Office of Gov. Doug Ducey. 

The governor hailed the donation, as well as all of those who have helped the state to handle the COVID-19 crisis.

“Arizona is focused on supporting those in need – protecting the vulnerable, expanding access to nutritious meals, providing PPE to medical professionals and more – and this generous donation strengthens those efforts,” Ducey said in the press release. “Thank you to EPCOR and all our partners for supporting Arizonans as we work to return stronger.” 

EPCOR has also made efforts to ease the burden on customers already hit hard by the economic crisis created by coronavirus-related restrictions. The company has offered bill-payment assistance to customers who have been out of work due to the restrictions.

“Supporting our communities is the heart of what we do and that is, perhaps, more vital than ever before,” Joe Gysel, president of EPCOR USA, said in the governor's press release.
